Together with ROICA™ and TENCEL™, two leaders in the textile industry, we have embarked on an ambitious project: to create innovative and sustainable fabrics for a more conscious wardrobe.
This partnership allows us to offer cutting-edge solutions that meet the needs of a market increasingly focused on quality and environmental impact. Combining the innovative degradable premium stretch fiber ROICA™ V550* by Asahi Kasei with TENCEL™** wood-based cellulosic fibers from controlled or certified sources, we have created high-quality fabrics that combine comfort and environmental respect.
At the Italian textile fair IDEABIELLA from July 9-11, 2024, we presented the first creations of our De Rerum Natura project, showcasing the prototype made with TENCEL™ Modal and ROICA™ V550, along with two finished items from Tintoria Finissaggio 2000:
• Elastic Milano stitch fabric (556981): perfect for jackets and overshirts, it is structured, soft to the touch, and ideal for the colder months. The combination of cashmere and TENCEL™ Modal guarantees unparalleled comfort.
• Simple elastic knit (511502): ideal for winter sweaters and light garments, it is very soft to the touch and has high elasticity thanks to the presence of the ROICA™ V550 fiber.
We firmly believe that the textile industry can and must do more to protect our planet. By collaborating with excellence partners like ROICA™ and TENCEL™, we can offer our customers high-end products made with respect for the environment and people. We are proud to demonstrate that tradition, innovation, quality, and sustainability can go hand in hand.
Together, we can build a greener future for fashion.
*ROICA™ V550 is the world's first degradable and sustainable stretch yarn by Asahi Kasei. It partially degrades according to ISO 14855-1 standards tested by OWS, decomposing into CO2 and water, and is also the world's first stretch (elastane) yarn certified Cradle-to-Cradle with a Gold Level Material Health Certificate.
**TENCEL™ fibers are made from wood sourced from controlled or certified wood sources. This natural origin affects the environmental footprint of production and has implications for the end-of-life of the fibers. TENCEL™ Lyocell and TENCEL™ Modal are biodegradable in seawater, freshwater, and soil.* Applies to TENCEL™ fibers certified biodegradable and compostable by TUV.
